When creating this concept, my first intention was to put the skill I had developed to use and use it to offer help to friends and family by taking photos of them that could be used for their professional image.
As I became familiar with the concept of “Headshot Photography” in through an acting school, I realized that the portraits taken to audition were very similar to the ones I took of general professionals, however there was one key difference.
While professionals in other careers tend to project a confident and firm look, actors are more willing to open up and reveal deeper aspects of their personalities in photos.
I believe this is a beautiful thing that should absolutely be celebrated, and for the same reason it is always a privilege to be able to immortalize these moments.
A good photo can not only serve as a way to show your “aesthetic” but even greater than that, it can share a true story of who you are.
That’s what I look to capture.
